Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum

Finally it's time to get our glycolic on with Nip + Fab! So it may not be as strong as celeb treatments but at a bargain budget, I ain't complaining!

Nip and Fab's Glycolic Fix Serum has the famous red carpet facial ingredient; glycolic acid, the most common alpha hydroxy acid and has the reputation of being one of the safest forms of alpha hydroxy acid. The glycolic face peel is known for its deep exfoliation, safely removing dead skin cells to reveal fresh, clear skin underneath… sounds too good to be true, right? But of course, the powerful ingredient on its own cannot be handed out lightly for home use, so beauty brands like Nip + Fab simply add a little drop (in this case 4%) so we can incorporate the benefits into our everyday skin routine.

Nip + Fab has had everybody talking with their bold and beastly looking range of products, from the Glycolics to Bee Stings and the Viper Venoms, and with the beautiful Millie Mackintosh (just my favourite style and beauty inspo ever) being the face of the brand, it would have been rude not to give it a go!

After first use, I just loved it. It stings a little when applied but that's just because the glycolic acid is getting deep into the skin and doing its job; I tend to like a little sting here and there because it feels like the product is working. BUT the serum is quite thick and it sits on the skin for a long time- as it should because it's an overnight serum- so it can feel a little sticky and uncomfortable. However, aloe vera soothes the skin and calms down any redness or irritations; it's an ingredient that when combined with glycolic acid, creates a strong serum, slowly but surely improving skins complexion.

Complexion is improved by the addition of PoreAway, ingredients that minimise the appearance of pores whilst leaving an even complexion. Although my skin still has a few break outs here and there, I feel that the condition of my skin and its complexion has really improved after a couple of weeks; I just love it and quite weirdly look forward to putting it on every night!

Overall, it's a fab buy! I have heard criticism that there's no point in trying a low percentage glycolic product BUT a glycolic acid face peel would set you back almost £100 whilst this little beauty in a bottle only costs…. take off a zero.. under £10! (currently on offer at Boots). It's such a bargain and a pretty definite repurchase. I love how such a popular celeb treatment can be incorporated into my everyday skincare routine, slowly but surely feeling and seeing the difference!

Don't listen to the hatteeeeerrrrrrrs honey! Try it for yourself and see whatcha think!
