The true beauty blogger within comes out whenever I receive a product that promises to tackle spot prone skin. I'm still looking for that little magic in a bottle (in this case, box) that gives me a flawless Kardashian complexion…but ah, is this THE one?
The Blemish Remedy powder contains Active Soil Complex, an exfoliating property that when combined with sulfer, effectively fights blemishes whilst preventing future break outs from forming. Sounds simple right? It also claims to be non-irritating, neutralises redness and minimises the appearance of pores…. now lets get down to the nitty gritty, does it do the job?
After first application, I was pretty impressed. The horrid BRIGHT RED spot colonies around my cheeks and forehead were instantly reduced and concealed whilst the Blemish Remedy soaked up any oil that may cause future break outs. It did make me very excited. Excited to the point that I applied it more than I probably should have (like a million times) and it dried out my skin completely. So just a pre-warning, only use it once a day during your skin routine to avoid skin irritations.
After a couple of days, my skin appeared clearer, although it was mostly due to the anti-redness ingredients which disguised imperfections. It also helps every woman's best friend- concealer, because the redness it's meant to cover has already been reduced, so we're one step closer to a flawless complexion!
I would definitely recommend this Blemish Remedy to oily skin types or anyone who just needs to reduce redness for an overall even and natural complexion. However, dry skin types STAY AWAY… or use in moderation. I can see an improvement in my skin, although to see the results of the blemish prevention aspect of the product, you need to be patient to see a difference.
