1) Liz Earle skincare routine: I cannot even begin to explain my new love for Liz Earle. Ahh… even just saying it rolls off the tongue. Its array of floral scents makes it a beautiful skincare routine and a real treat, soothing the skin after every application.
I've seen such a difference after a week of using Liz Earle and I never thought that using a light, calming routine would improve and prevent spots as much as it has already. After overusing 'oil free' brands and targeted spot treatments, crammed with harsh chemicals, it had never occurred to me that stripping oil altogether would increase my natural oil production, making the condition of my skin worse. Made from natural soothing ingredients from cocoa butter, rosemary; chamomile, eucalyptus; cucumber, lavender; avocado oil and many others; all three products work perfectly together to calm redness, hydrate and deeply cleanse the skin.
My skin feels super soft and I look forward to using my new skincare routine every night - particularly the Instant Boost Skin Tonic because the scent is soothing and just beautiful… I honestly think it makes me sleepy because it's that relaxing!!! So, if you suffer with acne or oily skin, give Liz Earle a try and swap your harsh spot treatments for a floral infused, all natural skincare routine.
2) Yankee Candle in scent BLACK CHERRY: Anyone who knows me, would be aware that I LOVE a good ol'yankee. If I could put them in every coffee table, window ledge, every room in my house then I would because they just smell amazing. I particularly love the scent black cherry at the moment because it smells so rich and autumny/ christmassy - I know it's a little early for Xmas talk but it's my favourite time of the year! They're super cute, they create a chilled relaxing vibe, and they smell good enough to eat!
3) Faith in Nature Coconut shampoo and conditioner: I received this beautiful duo a little while ago and I have to say, I'm so impressed! I've never purchased shampoos or conditioners over the Internet, especially from brands that I've never heard of before, so I was excited to give them a try! They left my hair feeling absolutely amazing. Shinier, stronger, smoother, healthier; they have a well deserved place in my October favourites. Even better, the ingredients are all natural, organic certified and vegetable derived, infused with essential oils and aromas. It's definitely a haircare routine I'm going to stick with and I can't wait to try the wide range of scents and ingredients they have to offer!
4) Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr: in shades 65 Pink Gold and 70 Metallic Pomegranate: These two are a cute lil duo, I have to say. Both shades compliment each other perfectly. The Metallic Pomegranate is so beautiful and spot on for the Autumn/winter months with it's pigmented bronzed finish. They're super easy to apply and I would recommend them to any first-timers when it comes to eye shadows - I always found them quite daunting because it can either turn into the black eye look or incredibly clown-like. But the creme consistency makes it easy to simply sweep over the lid for a healthy, natural finish or add a darker shade in the crease for a bolder, more I-know-what-I'm-doing kinda look.
Mac lipstick in shade Kinda Sexy (matte finish): *Puts hands up* Okay, I admit, I've never purchased a Mac lipstick. I've sinned, committed a crime in the beauty blogging world, but I've finally made that step. It's probably the price that's put me off up till now, but I really wanted to see what all the hype was about! 'Kinda Sexy' is a great matte nude for everyday use - and can be transformed with a dark bold eye for an evening look. It's got peachy/ pinky tones which gives a really healthy, natural finish which I love but apart from that - and the never ending array of shades Mac have to offer - I don't see the big dealio. It's not as long-lasting as I thought it would be, but they may have a range of long-lasting lipsticks out there somewhere (leave a comment if there is!). I am going to do an individual post on this at some point with swatches so I can show you the fabulous finish.
